García Pimienta: "We had to be supportive, draw on our expertise, and grit our teeth together."

The yellow coach entered the press room at the José Manuel Llaneza Sports City after his club accomplished what no other team had done: defeat Villarreal B at home while playing with one less player practically all of the time.

García Pimienta began by stressing that "sadly, today we have been suppressed in the game and we have had to demonstrate unity, rely on experience and grit our teeth together. I'm happy because the guys have deserved it".

Asked about one of the crucial plays of the match and the outcome achieved, he said: "Nuke's move, in the fifteenth minute, conditions us a lot but we have demonstrated what UD Las Palmas is. We defended well, with effort and pain." We took three crucial points. We're halfway through with 38 points, and it doesn't matter where we are. I am proud of what is being accomplished. Last year we achieved a basis that has allowed us to be where we are today".

In addition, "We go to every game with the aim of winning, and that is the mindset I carry with me. We are on the right track".
