UD Las Palmas only lacked a goal against Burgos (0-0)

UD Las Palmas was unable to secure a new victory, drawing 0-0 with Burgos CF at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The Gran Canaria team tried throughout the 94 minutes of play, but the accuracy in shooting and the various interventions by the opposing goalkeeper prevented the desired goal from reaching the Burgos net.

In the first stage of the match, Las Palmas enjoyed possession close to 80%, with abundant passes, patience, and searching for angles to reach the area. Some of these plays managed to connect in the area, although not with the finish expected by the yellow attackers.

Las Palmas managed to create up to four clear chances between the 25th and 30th minutes, with a shot from Manu Fuster hitting the post, a powerful strike from Ale García repelled by goalkeeper Cantero, and a double opportunity from Jesé and Sergio Barcia that Burgos' goalkeeper managed to thwart with good reflexes. The last of these was saved by catching the ball at ground level on the goal line.

Burgos managed to get through this rough patch of the match and reached halftime with the score tied. Up to that point, Las Palmas had taken 11 shots on goal, with 64% possession in the first 45 minutes. A second half remained, with the logical uncertainty generated by the goalless draw.

The first tactical change, before any substitutions, was made by UD Las Palmas, switching Pejiño and Ale García on the wings. The yellows were looking for new ways to surprise after a dominant first half that only lacked the opening goal.

In the 50th minute, following a corner, there was a double close-range chance from Barcia and Jesé, both saved simultaneously by goalkeeper Cantero and his center-back Sierra.

Burgos also pushed forward in the second half, with a great opportunity that David González attempted with a shot near the Canary Islands' goal. It was the most unsettling moment for Horkas all afternoon.

Las Palmas, which ended with 66% possession and 16 shots on the opponent's goal, kept trying until the last play, with a shot from Japanese player Taisei Miyashiro aiming for the top corner but once again stopped by Cantero.
