UD faces Real Madrid with 32,037 people in the stands (1-2)

UD Las Palmas lost 1-2 this Saturday against a Real Madrid that, as it happened with FC Barcelona's visit to Gran Canaria, had to come from behind after the opening goal by the yellows. This time, the goal was scored by Javi Muñoz after a great offensive action by Sandro Ramírez. The celebration of the 1-0 fueled hope of achieving something positive in such a significant match in the Primera calendar. However, in the final stretch, Vinicius Jr. and Tchouameni turned the tide of the sunny afternoon in Gran Canaria, with 32,037 spectators in the stands. This figure represents the highest attendance for a Primera División match in the history of football in the Canary Islands.

Marvin Park was the novelty in the match photo presented by UD Las Palmas. The right-winger regained his starting position in a defensive lineup alongside central defenders Suárez and Mármol, along with left-back Sergi Cardona.

Las Palmas boldly took to the field, immediately attacking the East Stand area. At 2 minutes, following a play by Marvin, Moleiro shot, and defender Rudiger blocked the shot. In the subsequent play, Munir headed a corner wide.

The Gran Canarian team quickly fulfilled the coach's request to claim prominence and personality in the match. In both aspects of the game, they aimed to maintain rigor, especially when Real Madrid assumed ball possession for their maneuvers.

Despite not having possession as in other matches, Las Palmas generated more danger when they managed to weave their plays. Two of them concluded with shots from Javi Muñoz and Sergi Cardona, although they couldn't find the net guarded by Ukrainian goalkeeper Lunin.

In the 30th minute, the crowd and the yellow players unsuccessfully claimed a penalty. Sergi Cardona managed to reach a ball in the area before Ceballos, and after contact, the local left-back fell to the ground. Referee Soto Grado and VAR did not see it as a high-risk action.

The most worrying moment for Valles in the first half came at 40 minutes, with a shot by Vinicius that missed near the post at ground level.

The start of the second half mirrored the first. Although the scent of a goal was closer to Lunin's goal. The goalkeeper made a one-handed save to thwart a shot from Munir in the 46th minute; the Moroccan sought the base of the post. Two minutes later, Lunin caught a cross from Muñoz.

And in the 52nd minute, an explosion of joy. Another counter-attack by Sandro ended with a pass to the heart of the area where Javi Muñoz appeared to make it 1-0. The joy lasted, however, for 13 minutes because the visitor's offensive succeeded with a crossed shot by Vinicius Junior that Valles could not repel.

The match had returned to a draw for the final stretch of the evening. But in a set-piece play, the 1-2 came, courtesy of Tchouameni heading in a corner.

Las Palmas continued to fight until the 99th minute but did not find the path to goal again, and the score closed with a celebration in the stands, accomplice to the effort made by the Gran Canarian players.
