their new squad kits this morning for the 2019/20 season. The presentation was held at the Parque Urbano Estadio Insular and featured the members of the administration board, sponsors, Las Palmas veterans, the media and fans. The models chosen to show off the new kits were former players, in a tribute to the club’s 70th anniversary; Ángel López wore the home strip, Guayre the away strip, Manolo López the goalkeepers’ strip, Orlando Suárez the training kit, Juani Castillo the walking around kit and Gerardo Miranda the tracksuit.

Patricio Viñayo, director general of UD Las Palmas, thanked Hummel for "the reference to the founder kits; this year we start with red which makes reference to the fusion of the club and over the next four years the away kit will pay tribute to the other founders. As a tribute to

them the five club badges will all be on show, as will the allusion to the club’s 70th anniversary", he added.

The director general explained the deal they have struck with the new sporting brand, saying "it was really easy and quick, they asked us what they had to do to design our kit again and within 48 hours we had closed the deal. It is worth remembering that we were the first professional club to wear Hummel and we are very pleased to be starting wearing them the second time round".
