Pepe Mel stressed following tonight’s match against Córdoba that “we need to do more damage up front. We have players in attack who are capable of creating more, yet we are unable to finish off our rivals”.

He has come through with flying colours” he stated with reference to the debut of Jesús Fortes in today’s game, while he also left the door open to future debuts for second team players, saying “everyone who deserves to play will get a chance while always respecting the professionals in the squad”.
