“We need to concentrate on our own game. Depor are playing their first game under their new manager here and that is an advantage because we don’t know how they are going to approach the game. Players fire themselves up because they are looking to please the new boss” he continued with reference to tomorrow’s clash. The manager has ruled out both Mauricio Lemos and Narváez, as they are yet to shake off their muscle injuries.

Álvaro Valles will be their goalkeeper in place of Josep, who has been called up to Spain’s Under-21s. “We have got great confidence in him and he will do a good job for us. I have told him he is here because he deserves to be, and that he makes the most of his chance”  Mel added that on Monday Pedri is off to the Under 17s World Cup in Brazil, and if Spain reaches the final, he will miss a total of five games.

Mel also pointed out that his side are making fans sit up and take notice with their recent results, saying "We want to keep our good form going. A team that wants to do well in this league must not concede more than 40 goals. Our defensive record should reflect this".

He then showed his solidarity with those suffering from cancer, saying "We have lived with it in our own family. We need to speak out about this illness with no fear, and we should all show solidarity and embrace this worthy campaign".

Pepe Mel then sent a message of support for Drolé, who recently picked up a serious injury in training. "We are looking forward to having him back. He is important loss for us because he has a lot to offer us. We are very fond of the lad because he always has a smile on his face” he concluded.
