Pepe Mel looked ahead to his side’s second game in three days away from home, saying "in my mind I have the players I would like to start with but so many things happen in just 24 hours". Referring to the physical condition of his players he stated "I still have to meet up with the doctor and with the players themselves to find out how fit they are, although all of them trained normally today. They are fired up and focused". 

"We are approaching the game in Lugo with great calmness. We need to focus on our game and look no further" Mel stated.  He repeated that the main aim "is survival in this division and then once that is achieved we can look ahead to greater things". 

The manager spoke of the good understanding between Jonathan Viera and Pedri on the pitch, saying, "both players read the game in the same way. It comes naturally to them and they also associate brilliantly with the other players". To finish with he spoke of the possible call up of Josep to the Spanish under 21 side, saying "it’s good news and I am really pleased for the lad".
