José Campaña: "I fit into Las Palmas' style of play, and that's what helped me decide"
The new yellow midfielder, José Gómez Campaña, expressed his happiness at joining the yellow entity during his presentation: "For a club of this stature to give you the opportunity to feel like a footballer again is a pleasure, today it has become a reality, and I continue with the same enthusiasm and excitement."
Luis Helguera, sports director of UD Las Palmas, began José Campaña's presentation, stating: "He is a player who fits perfectly into our style of play. He gives us a quality boost, which is what we wanted. We are very happy; he made an effort to come and understood our project."
For his part, the new yellow player pointed out, "I stayed completely out of the negotiation; I come from a long injury, and I was only thinking about getting fit. Physically, I feel good, gradually adapting to the workload they are giving me."
"Las Palmas is a club that I can easily adapt to because of the style of play. I have a long career, I have been through different leagues and many clubs, and my last stage was seven and a half years at Levante, which makes you mature and gain experience," he added.
Regarding the team: "I am not surprised by the quality of the squad; they have been performing at a high level for several seasons. We won't discover anything new. They have a great coach and a great group; more than the position they are in, what helped me decide is the playing style."
