Javi Castellano re-signs for three more seasons

Gran Canaria-born midfielder Javi Castellano has reached an agreement with UD Las Palmas for the next three seasons. The player came to the club in the 2011/2012 season, from Mallorca B.

Javier Castellano Betancor (born 2nd November 1987, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) has has today signed a new deal to keep him at Las Palmas for a further three years.

The former youth player, who has played for Mallorca B, Cultural Leonesa, Real Unión and Albacete, has enjoyed most of his professional football with UD Las Palmas. Javi Castellano has featured in a total of 186 matches for the yellows, in different leagues. 

He was one of the star performers in the 2014/2015 season, in which the club gained promotion to the First Division. Last season he played in 27 games, a total of 1,759 minutes, in both the regular league and the Spanish Cup.
