Manolo Jiménez was unable to attend the press conference following today’s match due to personal reasons. Standing in for him was Felipe Benítez, Las Palmas’ assistant manager. He said “we are happy after our recent poor run. The team needed to get the fans back on their side”.

“Teamwork is our great strength, although up front we are really firing on all cylinders” he said of his side today, adding “we are back on track”.

Felipe was confident mood saying the team will continue to improve as weeks go by. Manolo Jiménez’s deputy praised his players “for the hard work they put into the match today. It was a clear win in terms of goals but was by no means an easy match” he concluded in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
