David García re-signs for another year with UD las Palmas

David García has extended his contract with UD Las Palmas for a further year. The central defender is two games away from breaking the club’s appearance record, currently held by Germán Dévora.

UD Las Palmas captain David García, (born San Bartolomé de Tirajana, 25th February 1982), will be turning out for another season with the club. UD Las Palmas’ president, Miguel Ángel Ramírez, today ratified the deal the player has reached with Technical Secretary Toni Otero. The Maspalomas-born fullback will therefore be spending a further season at the club, and will make him the player to have made most appearances for UD Las Palmas. This record is currently held by Las Palmas legend Germán Dévora, who played 453 games for the club. So far García has turned out 452 times for the club since making his debut on 17th September 2003. This season will be his 16th at UD Las Palmas.
