Enrique Clemente appeared this morning at a press conference during the week of preparation to face Málaga CF at the Gran Canaria Stadium.

Regarding the great goal scored by the yellow center-back against Córdoba, Enrique highlighted that "it wasn't until hours after the match that I realized the minute in which I had scored it, I thought it had been earlier. My goal was to return the ball to Jonathan, but I saw that they blocked the passing line and that I could keep going, so I did." "I started cramping and thought, not now please, just one last effort," he added.

These were some of his statements:

"We are very eager to celebrate the first victory with the fans, we are going to prepare the match very well to arrive in the best shape."

"From the beginning, the coach taught us the concepts he wanted to implement. We have a demanding system, but if we do it together, it helps us stay united."

"It's matchday 2, we need to stay calm because there's a long way to go. Internally, I felt the club's support, I feel comfortable and happy and eager for more. This is just the beginning."

"Nothing has changed compared to other years. You don't know how, when, or where, but opportunities have to be created, not waited for. I will do everything in my power."

"I feel very comfortable with the playing system, we have options, and we are all coordinating very well."

"Something that stuck with me about the goal was seeing my teammates running to the corner to celebrate it with me, it's something of great value because they experienced it as if they had scored it themselves."

"Opportunities have to be created, you have to do things for them to come and be ready when they do. There are moments for everyone, and it's very difficult for all those common goals to align."
