Viti: "We are fully confident because the team is performing at a high level, we can face any opponent."
UD Las Palmas player Viti stated in a press conference: “Our survival depends on our home stadium. The team needs to be strong at home. I encourage everyone to come and support us, because we’re going to give everything we have to try to get the three points.”
Viti, a player for UD Las Palmas, spoke to the press on Wednesday morning ahead of the match against Valencia CF. The yellow-clad player noted: “Valencia is a tough opponent in good form, although it's true they’re not the same team we faced in the first half of the season. We’re confident, because we played well the other day despite the defeat.”
These were some of his statements:
“Valencia is nothing like they were in the first half of the season. When we played them back then, they were in a different situation. Now they’re on a really good run. That gives their players confidence, and they’ve also made some signings. But we’re in a good moment too, and I’m convinced we’ll take all three points.”
“Overall, I’m feeling quite good. I’ve been gradually adapting to the division. At the beginning, I definitely noticed the jump from Segunda to La Liga, but I’ve gained confidence with each match and I’m feeling better and better. I was unlucky with the injury, as it interrupted the momentum I had. In these upcoming games, I’ll try to take things up a notch if I can.”
“The fans have to play their part too—any support they give will be appreciated by the team. Every match is different, and all of us who play want to do our best. Sometimes things don’t go as expected; we just have to adapt to every situation.”
