García Pimienta arrived at UD Las Palmas in the 2021/22 season to replace Pepe Mel and managed his first match as the yellow coach against Real Sociedad B at Estadio Gran Canaria on January 30, 2022 (0-0).

Following his arrival in 2022, Pimienta led the team to a Play-Off spot in the same season, achieved direct promotion to Primera División last season, and secured their stay in the top tier in the last matchday.

During his tenure at UD Las Palmas, the coach reached 104 matches at the helm (with 41 wins, 33 draws, and 30 losses), equaling the number of matches managed by Vicente Dauder, the ninth coach with the most games in the club's history. García Pimienta will lead his last match against Deportivo Alavés this Sunday, reaching 105 matches and surpassing Dauder's record.

During his time as the yellow coach, academy players Joel del Pino, Julen Pérez, Joaquín González, Saliou, Juanma Herzog, Yadam Santana, Pau Ferrer, Gabriel 'Palmero', Iñaki González, and Aboubacar Bassinga debuted with the first team.

UD Las Palmas thanks García Pimienta for his commitment and dedication during his two and a half seasons with the team and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
