Paco Jémez: “Our great battle will be next weekend”

Jémez stressed that if his side loses next week’s clash against Levante they will almost certainly be playing second division football next season, recognising that “next weekend represents our real battle”.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Paco Jémez analyzed his team’s performance following today’s defeat against Real Madrid in the Estadio Gran Canaria, “we got off to a good start, created a few chances, and we got stuck in as much as we could”. The manager focused on positive aspects, especially in attack, and said, “we had more shots on goal but we weren’t accurate enough”.

”If we lose, we won’t be down mathematically, but the points difference will make things very hard for us. Next week’s game is very important and absolutely crucial” he explained referring to next weekend.

The rather dubious yellow card the referee showed to Ximo Navarro means the player will be out through suspension against Levante, and his manager said “we will try to get it reversed, Ximo is a key player in our defence”, concluding his press conference at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
