The yellows’ manager fully understands the difficulties of the tie, "Valencia are one of the standout teams this season" although he underlined that "it is true our top priority is the league as things stand right now, but I don’t want my players running out on the pitch tomorrow with their minds on next Saturday’s match".
Regarding the mood in the dressing room, he was quite firm: "we cannot allow our recent results to hurt us, we are fully aware of what we need to do to achieve our objective", adding "our job is to correct our mistakes and work really hard, in a short period of time we should start noticing improvement".
"It is good for us to still be in the Cup, because I am able to see players who haven’t had that much playing time, while giving others the chance to rest" he concluded, in reference to the tiredness that has set into the squad due to the hectic league program.
