Paco Herrera: “We have prepared this match in a perfectly normal fashion"

"We have prepared this match in a perfectly normal fashion, even though we are travelling there without knowing if we are going to play the game or not", stated Paco Herrera on the eve of tomorrow’s clash against Reus, kickoff 19.30.

Paco Herrera responded to uncertainty surrounding Las Palmas’ next game, saying, "we have approached the match as we always do. Personally speaking I am concerned for the players and technical team at Reus because they are fellow professionals, away from the match situation. The unforgivable thing would be to play the match without being fully focused", he said with reference to the concentration required for the match. He added, referring to the Catalonian side, "they will be tough opponents. They like playing out from the back and are good on the ball".

"Our last two matches against Rayo Majadahonda and Osasuna have given us balance, and we have to carry that through” the manager stated. When asked how last week’s victory went down, Herrera said he felt relieved and "able to concentrate on the job. It has been a great relief too for the players".

The yellows’ manager gave a few clues as to his team’s possible starting line-up tomorrow, saying "I don’t want to make too many changes due to the absence of Galarreta, I am thinking of replacing him with Maikel Mesa so as not to unsettle the side too much. We have been gradually making progress and defeat now would be really tough", he concluded in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
