Nine youth team players to do pre-season with the first team
Nine youth team players will be joining the first team in pre-season training, under the orders of trainer Manolo Jiménez. The players who will be heading to the south of the island are: Josep, Jeremy, Eric Curbelo, Diego Parras, Josemi, Erik Expósito, Ál
Las Palmas Atlético players Josep, Parras, Álex Suárez, Eric, Jeremy, Josemi, Fabio, Edu and Erik Expósito have been selected to go pre-season training with UD Las Palmas, under the orders of Manolo Jiménez. These players will be joining the rest of the first team squad at the beginning of July in the south of Gran Canaria, where they will start pre-season training, and take part in the first friendlies.
The list of players is as follows:
1. Josep Martínez Riera: (Valencia, 27th May 1998)
Position: Goalkeeper
Coming in from: FC Barcelona; season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético.
2. Diego Marrero Parras: (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 15th November 1995)
Position: Right winger.
Coming in from: Villa Santa Brígida; Arrived at the end of the 2016/2017 season, achieving promotion to Segunda B.
Season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético.
3. José Alexander Suárez Suárez, Álex Suárez(Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 18th March 1993)
Position: Central Defender.
Coming in from : Following seasons at different youth levels he went to Villa Santa Brígida.
He returned to the second team in the 2016/2017 season, gaining promotion to Segunda B.
Season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético.
4. Eric Curbelo de La Fé: (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 14th January 1994)
Position: Central Defender.
Coming in from: SD Leioa. Following a season away from the island, he returned to the second team
in the 2016/2017 season, gaining promotion to Segunda B.
Season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético.
5. Jeremies Miguel Valerón Ramón, Jeremy (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1st August 1996)
Position: Left winger.
Coming in from: He came to the club at under 8 level from Almenara. In the 2016/2017 season he achieved promotion to Segunda B.
Season 2017 /2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético.
6. José Miguel Castañeda Macho, Josemi (Santander, 26th February 1998)
Position: Midfielder.
Coming in from: Racing de Santander.
He arrived at UD Las Palmas Atlético in the 2017/2018 season.
7. Fabio González Estupiñán, Fabio (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 12th February 1997)
Position: Midfielder.
Coming in from: His early years were spent at the under 12s. He then moved to Vecindario, before returning to the club at under 16 level. In his first senior season at the club, 2016/2017 he gained promotion to Segunda B.
Season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético, making his debut in the first team at the start of the season.
8. Eduardo David Espiau Hernández, Edu (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 19th December 1994)
Position: Striker..
Coming in from: Acodetti CF.
After starting the 2017/2018 season in the Third Division,he moved in December to UD Las Palmas Atlético.
9. Erik Alexander Expósito Hernández, Erik (Santa Cruz de Tenerife 23rd June 1996)
Position: Striker.
Coming in from: Rayo Cantabria.
He arrived at the end of the 2016/2017 season
Season 2017 / 2018: UD Las Palmas Atlético. He alternated playing in the second team with the first team towards the end of last season.
