The UD Las Palmas coaching staff chose to start three of the players that had rocked the Ciudad de Valencia stadium in the second half the day before. Alberto Moleiro and Fran Pejio were given the sides, while Marc Cardona returned to the starting lineup following his goal against Levante. The objective was matched on the pitch by the local team's evident attacking strength.

Las Palmas had the first two chances of the game in the first seven minutes. After a ball from Viera, Marc Cardona pushed a shot into the goalkeeper's gloves. And Moleiro received a pass from Marc himself, which he finished with a shot, but Ruiz stopped the move on the last break.

Following a little break, Las Palmas relaunched their onslaught, with much activity in the area where Moleiro was moving. Viera and Fran Pejiño's next shots were saved by goalie Soriano. One near the post's base and another halfway up.

Las Palmas did not give up for a second in his ball suggestion and tries via connections and forwards' moves. The yellows did try more on the left flank, at times with an unbalanced attack. However, the 1-0 came as a result of Sergi Cardona's movement and a chance that ran through the box to the left. After an assist-heel from Enzo Loiodice, Pejiño shot with determination and scored it 1-0.

García Pimienta's squad went into the halftime break with 70% possession and no shots on goal from the Tenerife team during that time.

The second goal came just before the hour mark, likewise scored by Pejiño and assisted by Loiodice. The Andalusian soccer player skirted the marking of multiple defenders to shoot a bullet toward the Grada Naciente’s goal. The ball ended up with power near to a post.

The Gran Canarias kept to their game strategy, employing a counterattack in the closing stretch with the arrival of the quick Marvin Park. Florin Andone's move and shot three minutes from the finish made it 3-0. The action had begun with a long pass from Alex Dominguez toward the goal.

Tenerife cut the score in extra time with a goal from Mo Dauda.

The points as well as the party remained on Gran Canaria.
