Luis Helguera's contract with UD Las Palmas has been extended until 2026.

UD Las Palmas and Luis Helguera Buja have reached an agreement under which the current sports director will remain with the entity until 2026. After the addition of Vicente Gómez, a former yellow player, the sports management work team is divided into several departments and consists of seven members.
Thus, Helguera's second stage at UD Las Palmas is completed, as he returned to the entity in March 2020, the date on which he agreed to the position of sports director, after serving as the club's technical secretary from August 2016 to April 2018.
