Luis García: "What we wanted from the first day was for our people to identify with the team, and that is what we will try to do again this weekend."

The yellow coach stated that Málaga is "a tough opponent, and if you don't do things right, it will be hard to win the match. Hopefully, we can achieve victory in front of our fans."

Luis García appeared this Friday at a press conference, ahead of the match between UD Las Palmas and Málaga CF at the Gran Canaria Stadium this Sunday. Regarding the opponent, the yellow coach highlighted: "Málaga is a very good team, young, dynamic, with very talented players and a great coach. We are going to face a tough opponent, and if you don't do things well, it will be hard to win the match. Hopefully, we can achieve a victory in front of our fans."

These were some of his statements:

"We are working very well; we still have two training sessions left. There is always room for improvement, although a victory always boosts you. I have a lot of faith in how I see the team."

"We are generating a lot of offensive volume, with many goal-scoring opportunities. Defensively, we are also doing very well, with clear ideas. We need to be a complete team and keep improving."

"The team is understanding very well what we want. But there is no doubt that the competition will challenge us, and we have to be prepared to face those challenges."

"There is a high demand for everyone because the players who are playing are raising the level. They are very aware that those who start the game are just as important as those who come in later."

"No player should feel like a substitute. Jonathan Viera is working exceptionally well; he has a lot of responsibility and a strong desire to help in any way, whether from the start, for a while, or not at all. His role is very important."
