Luis García appeared this Friday in the press room, where he analyzed the upcoming match against Real Sporting, a rival he highlighted: "Defensively, they are a solid team, and in transition situations, they are very dangerous. We can face any scenario, and that's what we work for. I think they played a great match against Castellón. We have to be prepared to resolve any situation on the pitch."
These were some of his statements:
"We have to try to replicate those first forty-five minutes from the other day against a rival that won't make it easy for us."
"What happened in Albacete was a very cruel defeat; the team did not deserve that result at all. In that first half, we were extremely superior to the opponent. In this sense, we have handled it naturally and with self-criticism to improve those aspects for the future. We should have managed those last minutes better. I am convinced that setback will help us learn."
"I see the team doing well; the people coming off the bench bring us that extra energy we need. The day-to-day is extraordinary, and physically, I see the team in very good shape."
"We have just lost one match, nothing more. I am very calm and very happy, delighted with the traveling companions I have. I feel 100% supported by them. I have a renewal offer to be the coach of UD Las Palmas next year, regardless of whether the team gets promoted to the First Division. I couldn't have more support than that."
"Kirian is extraordinary. If we haven't seen the best of Kirian, it's probably my fault. I wanted to have him on the pitch earlier than I should have. We can't forget where he's coming from, and I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. I am very happy for him; he is different and will contribute a lot to us. He has been growing a lot in recent weeks; he needs himself, and the group needs him. There are twelve matches left, and I am convinced we will see a growing Kirian."
