Luis García: "We want to secure the third victory this Saturday"
Our coach stated: "Winning matches in the Second Division is very difficult."
Luis García appeared this Friday in a press conference ahead of tomorrow's match, September 27, against UD Almería at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The yellow team coach stated: “It will be a beautiful match, with good play and a fight for possession. That is where we are strong, and we will try to maintain our personality”.
These were some of his statements:
“Almería is a great team, with a strong squad and a very experienced coach, with promotions under his belt. They have a very balanced group, in which a lot of money has been invested. Their clear objective is promotion, with very decisive players in the category,” he said about the opponent.
“We are very prepared and will play with our fans, who we will need to put on a great match and fight for the three points,” added the coach.
“It will be a beautiful match, with good play and a fight for possession. That is where we are strong, and we will try to maintain our personality. And also defend well, where we have been showing solidity. We have a clear path station by station, and now it’s time for this one,” he explained.
“Jonathan Viera has been improving throughout the matches. That break he had in the summer due to back discomfort affected him, but his minutes were very good and positive, where he contributed a lot to the team,” he commented on the captain's progress.
“All the players have my confidence. I am convinced of everyone's performance. We have to understand that we have many players up front. Each player must make the most of their moments, whether it’s 25, 5, or 2 minutes,” he stated.
“Jesé made an important effort the other day, and it wasn’t easy to understand that he had to attack the spaces. He covered a great number of meters at high intensity. The only regret is that he couldn’t score the goal to seal the match,” pointed out the yellow team coach.
