Luis García: "We can't feel any other way but happy. It's very difficult to win, maintain a streak of victories, and earn points."

The coach stated, "We had the game in our hands to finish it much earlier. But when you don't finish it, obviously any unfortunate action or quality from the opponent changes the match."

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

Luis García addressed the media who gathered in the press room of the Estadio Gran Canaria after the victory against Albacete Balompié, stating, "It's already 15 matchdays, not 4 or 5. It's time to consolidate in that area. We are still very ugly, we have to keep working and telling good jokes because we are very ugly. The game was under control, but with any slip-up, the draw could have come, and we could have left angry.”

Some of his statements:

“The goal is a quality action by Morcillo, it's not the first time he has done it, we had it under control. Yepes does an extraordinary job on what the opponent can do. We accept that goal naturally because we ask our goalkeepers to stay high, close to the defensive backline. Morcillo's strike was fantastic, a great goal.”

“What happened with Pejiño and Clemente we believe are muscle strains, hopefully, it's nothing serious. Pejiño had a bit of a cramp in his calf. He played a very good game, giving us what we needed with touches of quality. He worked hard and did everything we asked of him, as well as extraordinary things he came up with himself.”

“The people on the bench contributed a lot, we need to be a team that spreads energy and enthusiasm. Everyone gave their all and a little more, we leave with three very well-deserved points.”

“I don't know if it's anxiety, we have to make better decisions in the final third and, above all, improve the start of the first half, which was not good. We must be more reliable throughout all the minutes to be a more solid and strong team.”

“Jesé gave us very good minutes, breaking into space. We have to be able to get all the players involved, that is my mission. We have to get it into our heads that this category is demanding and doesn't wait for anyone.”
