Luis García appeared this Friday at a press conference ahead of Sunday's match, October 5, against Cádiz CF at the Estadio de Gran Canaria. The yellow coach stated: “We are very eager for the match to arrive so we can keep improving. The team is focused. We have recovered well from the defeat, analyzed it, and digested it. We have worked on aspects of our model that we need to improve.”

These were some of his statements:

“The category is tremendously demanding. Cádiz is very recognizable, concedes few goals, has a clear game plan, and a coach with a lot of experience in the category. They will make it difficult for us, but I am convinced that the team will take steps forward, improve, and earn the merits to win the match.”

“Our fans help the players a lot. It’s not the same away from home, where the atmosphere is hostile. At home, our people are very important, and we value their support. Hopefully, they will help us because the players need it.”

“We don’t need to create a psychosis because the home results weren’t as positive as we would have liked. We need to stay calm because, in the same way, we did many things well away from home, we won, and we competed very well. We are not giving as much credit to what we achieved away from home as we are to the negative aspect of what happened at home. I am naturally positive, which is why I am convinced we will have a great match on Sunday. I believe a lot in the team and in our fans. This is a process, and we need to keep improving.”

“We have different solutions; maybe we will play with two forwards. It could be the moment for Marc Cardona, Jesé, Recoba, or any of the strikers. Or maybe we will play with a false nine. We are fortunate to have the option of variability.”
