Luis García: "As I said on the first day, my main goal is for people to be excited about the team"

Luis García pointed out after the victory in Valladolid that "Football has taught me that we must be humble and we have to keep following our path. What I truly take away is the pride of seeing players who give their all, who do what we work on, who enjoy it, and on top of that, our people push us, support us, and stand behind us."

The coach of UD Las Palmas, Luis García, highlighted the importance of the victory at José Zorrilla, against a rival "that is one of the most intense in the league, which is why we were not entirely precise with the ball. We had talked about how a back-and-forth game would not suit us."

These were some of his statements:

"We came to a First Division field against a highly demanding opponent and we managed to win."

"We lacked some precision, they press you and push you to the limit. In the second half, we had to defend, and we did well. We have to be happy and proud of the players."

"The goal difference is very important, but Jesé was very happy with the team's victory. Everyone feels the same way, beyond individualities and as a collective, that is fundamental."
