Luis García appeared at the press conference prior to the match that will take place tomorrow between UD Las Palmas and Albacete BP, at the Gran Canaria Stadium. Regarding the opponent, the yellow coach highlighted that "I expect a very difficult match, especially because it is a rival with a coach who has a lot of experience in the category. They don't need the ball to cause damage and they handle set pieces well. We have to play a very good game, stay focused throughout its duration".
These were some of his statements:
"The team is doing well, but we can be better in all areas. We must try to be a more complete team in all aspects of the game. We cannot stop. We are satisfied with the individual and collective performance of the squad, but we want to be better".
"We keep our feet on the ground thanks to those three or four players who are more experienced and have been through more battles, and to a staff that tries to teach them that football is very changeable. There is still a long way to go. The group is very good, young people with ambition".
"I see myself very much reflected in Jonathan Viera, in my last years as a player. You can't stop the time machine, the only thing you can do is enjoy each day. If you read between the lines, you know the end is closer than far, I am very fortunate to be able to enjoy it every day. Profiles like Jonhy's should be eternal".
"We know that achieving that consistency is extremely difficult, we have to keep being more solid. There have been opponents who have hurt us, they also adapt and analyze you, that's why we need to be a little better every day".
"Sandro needs to keep accumulating training sessions and good feelings, he is very eager to be with the group, he is very important because of his experience and ability, and it's just a matter of time".
"Amatucci's position is key for us, he is an intelligent boy. Despite his youth, he understands the game very well. It is a great success by the sports management. He is exceptional and has a great future ahead".
"My goal as a coach is to bring out the best in each player and try to make them capable of discovering something they have inside. Manu is an extraordinary and exceptional player in the category, both he and all the players in those lines are asked a lot at both the offensive and defensive levels".
