Las Palmas adds a significant point in Burgos (0-0)

A goalless draw and another point to keep the lead. UD Las Palmas drew 0-0 at El Plantío de Burgos on a night when the Gran Canarias had few chances and also made an effort not to commit mistakes that their opponents may exploit. Alberto Moleiro, however,

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria made their debut on the Burgos stage, led by rookie Loren Morón. And, as had happened in the previous three league games, a combination with eight players from his quarry in the first snapshot.

It took the yellows 9 minutes to unleash their first shot, which was delivered by Viera. Las Palmas had possession of the ball and intended to camp out on Burgos' defensive pitch. He did so not without putting himself on an even footing with his competitor in fights over the balls.

During the opening 30 minutes of searching for space and battling for the ball, Viera attempted the following (straight free kick into the barrier) and Moleiro (at Caro's hands).

The first half was concluded with more Las Palmas initiatives against a non-disruptive opponent. These were the only alternatives available. Along the way, there was a play that generated some debate: Marc Cardona told the referee that he fell in the Burgos area and made touch with defender Córdoba. The VAR did not, however, or the referee did not detect any infraction.

The first startling experience for the guests happened early in the second period. Areso intercepted a pass and made his way to the spot where Alvaro Valles had denied the home team a chance. With his right leg, the Andalusian goalie blocked the Burgos' strike.

Las Palmas quickly set up the rules by which the contest had occurred seconds before. The second direct free kick from Viera in the 50th minute breached the wall successfully, but the ball struck a post instead.

However, it was Moleiro who later came close to scoring the goal that the Gran Canarias were desperately seeking. In the 68th minute, following a personal move and a shot from the outskirts of the area by the Tenerifean player, he was stopped by Caro's post.

The suspense of the draw persisted into the last seconds. Las Palmas persisted in attempting while also paying attention to defensive circumstances. Last time, Atienza's long shot for Burgos was deflected just enough by Valles to earn a corner. The goal eventually did not arrive in the cool Castilian night.
