García Pimienta spoke to the media before the game against Albacete, a rival he highlighted: "the team started very well and perhaps he is not going through his best moment in terms of results, but we know the potential he has. In his squad there are experienced players, others with youth, which makes them a dangerous rival. We have to focus on what we are capable of doing."

In terms of the remaining balance by 2022, the coach stated, "it is good in general terms, I arrived at the end of January and I am very happy with what was achieved, the end of last season was very good and that project that began is being consolidating, and we want to end the year with that good feeling we are having."

The supporters will be crucial once again in this Sunday's game: "It will be a difficult game, but we are playing at home and with our fans."

Regarding the players who are unable to play, García Pimienta stated, "I am concerned about all the losses we have, I would sign that they and we had all the players available. We are not going to have Enzo or Jonathan, but we have Nuke, Fabio, Oscar Clemente, Moleiro... when a situation like this happens, we are fairer, but we will not make any excuses and we will present a demanding and competitive team."

"We knew we had to turn the defensive issue around, we had to take a step ahead, and I feel that is what we are doing; it is entirely on the merit of the players, and they are recognising that by doing things like this, we will be closer to victory," he added. regarding team development

"I'm not concerned," he said of his renewal, "we're doing things well enough to spare ourselves from things that have to happen later; it's not critical right now. I'm focused on day-to-day and working hard to reach the aims objectives."

"Gran Canaria is an island that has welcomed us more than well, I came alone because it was not the time to make many changes, my family is delighted, and we only receive love and respect from the people. We have incredible fans, they give with the team, and we have the responsibility to give everything when we put on the shirt," the coach concluded.
