García Pimienta: "We can't relax or underestimate the potential of our opponent"

The coach of UD Las Palmas, García Pimienta, faced the media in the press room of the Ciudad Deportiva before their clash against Málaga CF tomorrow. He highlighted that the team is "in good shape, despite the absences of Sandro and Marc Cardona. The rest of the team is mostly fit, and unless anything strange happens, Kirian will also be in the squad."

Regarding their opponents, he acknowledged that Málaga was a clear candidate to compete for higher goals at the beginning of the season, but football can be unpredictable and they've been on a losing streak for reasons unknown. However, their situation makes them even more dangerous. 

He emphasized the need to not only focus on one player, such as Rubén Castro, who is performing at a high level.

García Pimienta was clear that the team should only focus on tomorrow's game and not look further ahead. He stated that nothing will be decided regardless of the outcome, and they should continue to think in the short term, which has worked well for them in the past. He added that they can only control what happens on the field and need to focus on themselves.
