The coach of UD Las Palmas stated after the defeat against CD Tenerife that "Tenerife was better than us, we weren't good when we had the ball. We weren't well-positioned and we lost our identity. On behalf of the entire team, I apologize to the fans."

"We knew that Tenerife was going to demand a lot from us, they were very intense in the duels," emphasized the coach, who added that "we weren't good defensively or offensively. Today they were better than us and we didn't see the UD from the previous 31 matchdays."

The coach highlighted that today "we lacked fluidity and personality. Perhaps if we had scored the 3-1 a little earlier, something might have changed."

Despite the tough defeat, the coach wanted to make it clear that "we're going to make sure this isn't a setback for the next few games. It's time to believe, today is a very tough day. We're going to bounce back from this, I'm sure of it. I ask the fans to keep believing in the team."
