England tour and the Carranza trophy, top dates for UD Las Palmas pre-season
UD Las Palmas will go on a pre-season tour of the UK, from 23rd to 30th July, where they will play a series of matches in the north of England. The club have settled dates for matches against Birmingham City (27th July) and Leeds United (29th July). The y
UD Las Palmas 2018/2019 will kick off pre-season on 2nd July, with medicals for the players at the Hospital Perpetuo Socorro. The team will be staying at the Hotel Don Gregory in San Agustín from Sunday, 8th July in the evening. They will stay at this southerly location of Gran Canaria until Sunday 15th. Training will be done in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana at the Maspalomas Municipal Stadium. During this period, the team are due to play some warm-up matches. The 7th annual Copa Mahou Canarias will be played in a single match against CD Tenerife, on Saturday 21st July (time and place to be confirmed by the organizers).
PRE-SEASON IN ENGLAND
UD Las Palmas will travel to the north of England on 23rd July to go on a seven day tour, where they are due to play several friendlies. The club has already agreed on two games, against Birmingham City on 27th July, and Leeds United on 29th July, while they are waiting on confirmation of a third match in the UK. Both the teams they will face are playing in the English Football League Championship. During their stay in England, UD Las Palmas will be staying at the high performance centre of St George's Park National Football Centre, where the English national side regularly train.
The list of pre-season friendlies will be completed in August with a game against CS Marítimo de Funchal, before rounding off preparations for the second year running, and as current champions, the 64th annual Ramón de Carranza Trophy, during the first fortnight of August.
