Diego Martínez: "We have a unique opportunity to earn three points"

The yellow team's coach emphasized ahead of the match against Sevilla that "We need to improve our finishing; even without playing well, we've had very clear chances. We also need to lose fewer balls because we've been too hasty. We'll need to get the lineup right and give our best performance in Seville."

Diego Martínez spoke at a press conference this Thursday before facing Sevilla FC tomorrow at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium. "We must avoid conceding things that are beyond our control. Emotional management in Seville will be very important, in an extremely demanding atmosphere on all levels," he said regarding the match.

These were some of his statements:

"We’ve always tried to go out and win. The most important thing, I insist, is that we show our best version. We need to be precise and show character to put pressure on them. Conceding or not conceding is what validates any idea. What matters most is what happens in the battle on the field."

"In recent home games, the need to win has prevented us from showing our best version. When you're chasing the game after conceding, everything becomes harder—it's not just us, it happens to all teams. That’s common in decisive matches."

"We're clinging to the probabilities; they’re estimates, although reality may say something else. Beyond the numbers, what’s important is that the team wants to believe in them."
