Christian Rivera loaned out to SD Huesca

Asturías-born midfielder Christian Rivera, who is on contact at UD Las Palmas until 2022, has been loaned out to SD Huesca, without any kind of purchasing clause, following an agreement between the two clubs. Huesca are currently a First Division side.

Christian Rivera (born Gijón, Asturias, on 9th July 1997) arrived at UD Las Palmas over the summer from SD Eibar to bolster the team’s midfield, although last season he played for FC Barcelona’s second string side. His contract with UD Las Palmas runs until 2022.

So far this season he has featured in three league matches, totalling 168 minutes. He was in the starting line-up for the first two games. In the Spanish Cup he played for 56 minutes in Las Palmas’ one and only game in the competition against Rayo Majadahonda.

Rivera started his career in the youth system at Sporting de Gijón. In 2014 he signed for Real Oviedo, making his league debut on 16th May 2015 against Coruxo. His first professional goal was on 17th October 2015, in his third Second Division match between Real Oviedo and Alcorcón. He signed for Eibar on 1st July 2016.
