Jémez analysed his team’s performance and said “the league has been really unkind to us. There have been games we have deserved to lose, but today we certainly didn’t to lose. The team played really well and I am angry for the way we lost out today”.
Las Palmas’ coach made it clear he didn’t want to confuse lack of ability with lack of attitude, because “today the players have put in a real shift, they are wholly committed and have put up a good show”.
As for keeping David García on the bench, Jémez said “the players in his position have been regular starters in our matches, if the game had gone better for us he might have played” he concluded in the press room at the Estadio Gran Canaria.
