Paco Jémez was highly satisfied with the work his players put in tonight, stating "I take lots of positives, we played as a team, and we have worked hard for eachother". He also recognised that "in attack we need to work harder because with the ball we are capable of doing more, while in defence we are looking very good indeed". "In defence we did do what I had planned, Barcelona didn’t create clear cut chances and that is down to the bravery of my team" he said of the few chances created by their rivals during the game. Jémez insists that the team can improve in attack, although he said "I have seen great things out there tonight, and we will continue to work to improve further". Regarding the refereeing controversies, the trainer stressed, "I don’t talk about referees, whether they are detrimental to us or whether they benefit us". He also had words for the latest arrivals in his side, "the signings have been a bonus to what we already had, and I am satisfied with the work all my players have put in" he concluded in the press room.
