Paco Jémez: “Morally we have much more to play for than Girona”

Jémez today recognised that it is not easy to approach games like this one when you are already relegated, but “morally we have more to play for than Girona”.

There are no reactions yet. Be the first!

“The mood is the same as has been over the last few weeks, there is no difference at all. We have prepared as we normally do. We would like to win a game for our fans” Jémez said in his appearance in front of the press.

The trainer stated “we will try to share playing time around as best as possible. There will be changes, and all those who have been called up for this match, with reference to Hernán Toledo and Benito, have a chance of playing for part of the match”.

In terms of his future, Paco Jémez valued the youth team players. “In the youth team set up there are some players who can make the step up to the first team, although they will have to prove they can compete in the second division”.

As for tomorrow’s rival, Girona, he said “they will want to round the season off on a high, as they have had a superb season”.

With reference to whether fans will opt not to go to tomorrow’s game, he stressed “I respect the opinion of the season ticket holders at UD Las Palmas”.

To finish off, Jémez spoke of the career of captain David García, saying “when a player has spent so many years at the same club, it says a lot about him, and I hope he continues to pull on the club shirt he loves so much. Everything he has achieved so far he has fully merited, for the amount of work he has put in. Any prize he receives is fully deserved” he concluded at the press room in El Hornillo.
