Manolo Jiménez assessed his side’s performance and said “we got over-anxious tonight. Almeria were on top in different phases of the match”. The referee disallowed three goals by UD Las Palmas, but the manager didn’t want to make any remarks regarding his performance, saying, “I am not going to say anything about the referee’s decisions”.
