Las Palmas came away pointless despite scoring two away goals. On this occasion, Albacete’s clinical finishing was too much for the away side. The game started in an intrepid fashion, with three goals in the first eight minutes. Albacete Balompié went ahead through a goal by Bela (min. 6). A minute later, Rubén Castro replied for Las Palmas, shooting from a tight angle. Las Palmas’ top scorer was on the scoresheet once more after a drought of six matches. There was no time for celebrations, however, as the home side went back in front (min. 8) with a goal by Eugeni.

Nauzet Pérez was in goal as replacement for the injured Raúl Fernández. Galarreta was back in midfield with Dani Castellano on the left wing. For this match, Pepe Mel opted for two strikers, Rubén Castro and Rafa Mir, who had two good chances to equalize again.

Albacete Balompié sat back and looked to make the most of their lofty position and catch the away side with fast counter attacks. Las Palmas did have possession for periods of the game but lacked any cutting thrust up front to trouble Nadal. Then from a dead ball situation (min. 32), Eric Curbelo scored Las Palmas’ second equalizer (2-2). The game was once again turned on its head because just three minutes later Febas put his side 3-2 ahead (min. 35).

In the second half Albacete were once again quick off the mark as within a minute of the restart Eugeni got on the scoresheet to put his side 4-2 ahead. Bela (min. 48) then nearly added a fifth, but his lob went just over the crossbar.

There was more bad news for Las Palmas with injury to Sevilla-born Cala (min. 55). Nauzet Pérez then made a good save to deny Bela, turning the ball around for a corner (min. 72). Zozulia (min. 76), in a one on one with visiting goalkeeper Nauzet hit the ball narrowly wide. The final whistle came with the first away defeat for Las Palmas with Pepe Mel in charge
